Get Screenshot installed on your system in just a few minutes.

System Requirements

Before installing, make sure your system meets these requirements:

  • Operating System: Windows 10+, macOS 10.15+, or Linux (Ubuntu 20.04+)
  • RAM: 4GB minimum, 8GB recommended
  • Storage: 100MB free disk space
  • Internet connection for updates and sharing features

Installation Methods

macOS

Using Homebrew:

brew install screenshot

Using the installer:

  1. Download the latest .dmg file from our website
  2. Open the downloaded file
  3. Drag Screenshot to your Applications folder
  4. Launch Screenshot from Applications

Windows

Using the installer:

  1. Download the latest .exe installer
  2. Run the installer
  3. Follow the installation wizard
  4. Launch Screenshot from the Start menu

Linux

Using apt (Ubuntu/Debian):

sudo apt update
sudo apt install screenshot

Verifying Installation

After installation, verify that Screenshot is installed correctly:

screenshot --version

You should see the version number printed to your terminal.
